PLASTIC CO-EXTRUSION PIPE PRODUCTION LINE
Co-extrusion is the process of pressing two or more materials through the same die, resulting in one pipe. It requires two or more extruders, each providing a pre-measured quantity of molten plastics for the end product. Three distinct areas of co-extrusion include multi-layer extrusion, extruding wires and fibers within plastics pipe walls, and the coating extrusion of plastics over wires.
Co-extrusion in its simplest form is the ability to offer a pipe solution in which the inner and outer layers offer different functional advantages. Multi-layer pipe offers a modern, effective, and practical solution for various applications.
A major benefit of multi-layer extrusion is to manufacture pipe with as many as three different materials within a single pipe. The result is that multi-layer solutions can transform critical material properties to create distinctly different materials.
